Natural Air
Ventilation Systems
It’s important to note that mechanical ventilation is not an air conditioning system. A mechanical ventilation system features an extraction fan and either louvres or exhaust ducts. The air that is circulated is not cooled or heated, which means it is highly energy efficient. They are cheap to install and require very little maintenance. The BIGGEST benefits of these are that they can easily be integrated with an air condition system, the airflow can be controlled and odours are greatly reduced.
Our expert electrical team is also available for emergency call outs 24/7 and are fully licensed to provide repairs and servicing. We can also supply and install a wide range of ducted air conditioning systems, refrigeration and package units for commercial properties.
Frequently Asked Questions
Mechanical ventilation uses fans and ducts to circulate fresh air into a building and remove stale air. It’s commonly used in commercial properties, high-rise apartments, basements, and any space lacking natural airflow.
It helps regulate temperature, removes pollutants, controls humidity, and ensures continuous fresh air supply — essential for maintaining safe, healthy, and comfortable indoor environments.
Common types include exhaust-only, supply-only, and balanced systems. Many systems now feature heat recovery ventilation (HRV) or energy recovery ventilation (ERV) for improved efficiency.
They’re used in commercial kitchens, underground car parks, bathrooms, industrial facilities, and multi-storey residential buildings. Custom systems are often designed for building compliance and comfort.
Natural ventilation relies on openings like windows and vents. Mechanical ventilation is powered by fans, offering controlled airflow, better filtration, and consistent performance regardless of weather.
Costs vary depending on the system type, building layout, and size. Commercial-grade systems and custom ductwork may cost more. Book a site assessment for accurate pricing.
Yes, we design and install commercial mechanical ventilation systems, including exhaust fans, fresh air supply systems, and carpark CO extraction systems.
Absolutely. By improving airflow and reducing humidity, mechanical ventilation systems help prevent condensation, mould growth, and musty odours in enclosed areas.
Yes. Filters, fans, and ducts should be cleaned and inspected every 6–12 months to maintain performance and air quality, especially in high-use or polluted environments.
Yes. Mechanical ventilation is often required to meet building code regulations and workplace health standards, especially in enclosed spaces with limited natural airflow.
