If You Suspect a Gas Leak
- Do not turn any electrical switches, lights, or appliances on or off
- Do not use a mobile phone inside the property
- Extinguish any naked flames immediately
- Open all doors and windows to ventilate the space
- Leave the property and move to a safe distance
- Turn off the gas supply at the meter if it is safe to do so

How to Shut Off Your Gas Supply
Your gas meter is typically located at the front boundary of your property, inside a meter box. The isolation valve is a lever or T-handle fitted to the supply pipe. Turn this valve so that it is perpendicular to the pipe to shut off the gas supply. If you are unable to locate your gas meter or the valve is difficult to operate, call us immediately, do not attempt to force it.
